Did you know that there are a few short sentences in Arabic which can practically change the course of your life?
All of these prayers are extremely important and beneficial and indeed there is no doubting the fact that Zikr Ilahi (remembrance of Allah) is a necessity of life. The Holy Quran States :
“Those who believe, and whose hearts find satisfaction in the remembrance of Allah: for without doubt in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find satisfaction. (Sura Al Ra’ad Verse 29)The purpose of this article is to draw the attention of the readers towards small, daily prayers which can become a vital part of our lives. Read them! Understand them! Memorize them and recite them! Don’t waste your precious breath or free time, just say a prayer! There are many short, comprehensive and extremely good prayers that we can memorise within minutes. Some of them have very few syllables. Such as:
O my Lord! Advance me in Knowledge (Sura Taha verse 115)Rabbi zidni ilma
There are six syllables. A bit like a haiku, however a very powerful prayer. This prayer is often recited by many people who are preparing to do a challenge which requires the depth of their intellect. Can an adult grow more brain cells?A landmark study in late 1998 by researchers from Sweden and the Salk Institute in La Jolla, California, showed for the first time that some brain cells in mature humans may regenerate under certain circumstances. So scientifically it is also proven, but this can be activated easily by constantly praying to Allah for this to happen. Who knows? Only sky is the limit if we can fully activate the power of the Human brain. 
A prayer that can be vital for a solution to any predicament imaginable is:
I am overpowered, so help me. (Sura Al Qamar Verse 11)rabbi inni maghloobun fantasir
This prayer is one that represents all Prophets who had to face the ferocious backlash of the nations they were sent to. Even though their victory was always practically guaranteed, however they still deemed it essential to offer their plea to God Almighty in this respect. Our spiritual levels cannot match those of the Prophets, therefore we obviously need the protection of Allah a lot more. Weather it is financial problems, marital problems, work problems or any physical ailment, this prayer can suffice. The Promised Messiah has said “. No person should feel safe from any catastrophe, as they arise unexpectedly at any time.” (Malfoozaat Page 607, Volume 5) We may have a lot of prayers or wishes that we would so happily want to be granted. You would be pleased to know that there is a prayer that gives a push to all of our requests in front of God.
Our Lord! Accept (this service) from us: For Thou art the All-Hearing, the All-knowing (Sura Al Baqra verse 128)Rabbana taqabbal minna innaka antas Sameeaul Aleem
This prayer was made By Prophet Abraham A.S after completing the construction of The Khana Kaaba. Many of us will be doing duty or services for the sake of Allah during Jalsa. Inshallah we will gain the rewards of our services, but there is no restriction in asking God Almighty for more reward. God Almighty is the only being from whom you can ask as much as you want and he will listen to everything that you say. It is then up to him to accept those prayers that he feels are good for you. Ever wondered if there is a prayer that sums up the perfect life and its purpose? You will be amazed to know that there are a few words in the Holy Quran which quite rightly represent what all Muslims should try and achieve through the gift of life.
Our Lord! Give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and defend us from the torment of the Fire!” (Sura Al Baqara Verse 202)Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanatan wa fil ‘akhirati hasanatan waqina ‘adhaban-nar
It cannot be justified in a short paragraph, but this prayer is actually everything that a Muslim has to look for in his life. Obviously, you cannot lead a life of sin and just make this prayer so that you attain redemption. However, this prayer will somehow negate your mind away from wrong doing. It will make you a lot more responsible in your decision making. Eventually, the effects of this prayer shall have a positive influence over your life. 
Are you proud of being a Muslim? Do you want to profess your belief to God? Although God is the being that knows what is in our hearts, do not waste your breath and proclaim your belief with the serenity of your heart.
Our Lord! We believe; write us down among the witnesses. (Sura Al Maida Verse 84)Rabbana aamana faktubna ma’ ash-shahideen
God Almighty recorded this prayer of the companions of the Holy Prophet who used to make this prayer with tears in their eyes whenever they saw God’s message being revealed to him. During Jalsa, a lot of us will witness many spiritual and life changing experiences. Lots of things will happen that shall strengthen our belief in the message of the Promised Messiah. What better prayer to recite during such a period? Is Allah the most forgiving? And is he the most ready to appreciate our service for Islam? If yes, then why not profess this by making it a legitimate prayer in your daily life? 
Always pay salutations to The Holy Prophet by saying Darood Shareef whenever you have the opportunity. It is needless to say that there are many Ahadith (sayings of the Holy Prophet which support the importance of Darood, one of them being from Tirmizi” On the day of Judgement, the person closest to me will be the one who has sent the most Darood unto me. ” Some of us enjoy humming songs or tunes that we hear on TV and radio, but why not hum or sing along with one of the most beautiful verses of The Qaseeda (Words of praise of the Holy Prophet) written by the Promised Messiah, in which he uses some of the wordings of Darud shareef and makes the following verse:
“Oh My Lord, send Salutations upon thy Prophet for eternity, in this world and in the hereafter!”This verse has many different and catchy tunes which play regularly on MTA. Humming this is definitely enjoyable and guess what? You are also gaining blessings at the same time! Although we cannot say which prayer is more important because all prayers are equally important, it is still necessary to say that we should constantly ask for forgiveness from God Almighty by reciting Astaghfaar (asking for forgiveness).
I seek forgiveness from Allah, My lord from all sins and I turn towards you.Astaghfirullaha Rabbi min kulli Zanbin wa atoobu ilaihi
The reason why this prayer should be recited as often as possible is simply because we are mere human beings, we are weak and are prone to make mistakes. At times, we cannot keep count of what we are doing wrong. Therefore, this prayer is the best way to try and erase our sins of the past. The best thing is, that it is such a short prayer, and most of us know it anyways. All that is needed is remembering to recite it whenever we get the opportunity.
