Nazm means “poem”. At the Annual Convention (Jalsa Salana), an Urdu Nazm (poem), Persian couplets or Qaseedah (Arabic Poem) are recited from the poetry written by the holy founder of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, His Holiness Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as). There are two main themes of the poetry, Hamd-e-Baritaalah (Love and Praise of Allah) and Naat (love for the Holy Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)).
A few couplets of this beautiful poetry filled with pure and pious emotions of the Promised Messiah (as) are recited melodiously in Jalsa. Everyone feels enchanted and intrigued while hearing this poetry, which is soaked in the love of Allah the Almighty and the Holy Prophet (pbuh).
