Let’s face it Human beings have been created weak; we are prone to sin and wrong. It is a constant battle to fight away the Satan of our own mind, heart and surrounding. Our longing for salvation, for a pure will continue throughout this life.
God Almighty states:
And Man has been created weak (4:29)
So the question now arises, when we fall prey to sin and when Satan gets the better of us. Is there any hope for us? Can we be forgiven? Can we, once again, return to a pure and righteous life?
The simple answer is, of course!
Let’s not forget Allah is ‘The MOST Merciful’ i.e. His Mercy is the greatest. He forgives again and again and again.
In fact The Holy prophet (saw) said:
“Verily, Allah is more delighted with the repentance of His slave than a person who lost his camel in a desert land and then finds it (unexpectedly)”.[Bukhari and Muslim].
God Almighty says in the Qur’an, concerning those who have crossed the limits (of God):
“Say, O My servants who have sinned against their souls, despair not of the Mercy of Allah, Surely, Allah forgives all sins. Verily He is Most Forgiving, Ever Merciful.”(39:54)
However, advising those who have sinned God says:
Surely, good works drive away the evil ones. This is a reminder for those who would remember.
And so there it is! To be forgiven, we must perform good and righteous acts which will, in turn, cancel out our sins and transgressions.
Attending Jalsa Salana 2014, with the attention of spiritual advancement, will most definitely be a righteous and good act.
And what better atmosphere and gathering to attend for the forgiveness of our sins !
