The history of Jalsa Salana in the Ahmadiyya Jama’at spans over a century. The last Jalsa Salana held in Rabwah, Pakistan was in December 1984. I was two years old.
Being an Ahmadi Muslim living in Pakistan, I could only dream of attending a Jalsa Salana. 22 years later I got my chance, when I attended Jalsa Salana Qadian in 2006 with my husband & eight-month-old son.
That experience was beyond anything I have the power to express. The auspicious atmosphere, the unseen bond with Khilafat, the love, the whispering of prayers, the soaked sleeves and handkerchiefs, the mornings and nights filled with Durood & Zikr; these feelings could only be experienced by being present at this Jalsa.
I wish I had the words to express the true feelings that one experiences while standing in front of the grave of Hazrat Masih-e-Maud (as), the Promised Messiah.
May we and our children see Wo Din Wo Nazaary Rabwah Main.
