JalsaConnect still hadn’t had lunch, and by this point was quite hungry. But then JalsaConnect met Omarov Sahib, local Sadr of his Jamaat in Kazakhstan, who was very friendly! JalsaConnect decided lunch could wait for a bit, and sat down for a chat.

Name: Askar Omarov

Age: 34

Country: Kazakhstan

______

JalsaConnect: Assalamu Alaikum.

Askar Omarov: Wa Alaikumussalam Wa Rahmatullah.

JC: Can you tell us how your experience of Jalsa has been so far?

AO: Well… it is just indescribable. From the moment I came here, even before the start of Jalsa, I started feeling something… serenity, peace, security. Since the Jalsa has started, that feeling has become more and more profound, and, Alhamdulillah, I feel the blessings of the prayers of the Promised Messiah (as) that he made specifically for these three days of Jalsa. Alhamdulillah, we have the Jamaat, the beloved Khalifa … Alhamdulillah that we are Ahmadis and that we can participate in such a blessed event.

JC: What are your feelings about Jalsa? What makes you look forward to Jalsa?

AO: I think it is a very good base for building relationships between different nations. People from all over the globe meet here. This is a very good example for non-Ahmadis – we have people from different races, backgrounds and cultures love each other – just for the sake of Allah. This all shows a different picture of Islam – because nowadays we see Muslims who… I think are just crazy. They think that they can kill people and that they are doing this for the sake of Allah. Here, we can see what the true face of Islam is.

JC: Jazakallah, Omarov Sahib.
